For a quarter of a century Bromsgrove has provided fine garden ornaments to landscape designers throughout North America. Bromsgrove makes its ornaments using traditional casting techniques, incorporating modern technologies where appropriate. The company has marketed its planters to professional landscape designers, not through retail distributors.

Lead has been used in the manufacture of garden ornaments since the 1600s. Before that, it proved its outdoor longevity when used as a roofing material in such structures as the Tower of London and Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. Lead develops a natural patina when exposed to the elements. This patina is a barrier to both leaching and corrosion and also gives its beloved silvery grey colour.

  • Bromsgrove products are packaged in crates on pallets and are shipped using a third-party carrier. They are delivered to a job site or the homeowner’s driveway.

  • We recommend booking an online consultation with one of our expert sales representatives. They will help you select your product purchases, provide quotations, advise on placement and usage, and answer any questions you have about our products. Your sales rep can accept payments, confirm your order details, and will follow up with you to provide a seamless customer experience.

  • Nowhere else in North America offers the products that the Bromsgrove Garden foundry produces. There are a handful of foundries in the UK and Europe still making lead ornaments. We are one of only two remaining makers of these types of products in North America.

  • Due to the custom nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges. However, if there is a defect or issue with your order, please contact us, and we will work to resolve it promptly.

  • Lead times vary depending on the product and order volume. Typically, orders are completed and ready for shipment within 6 to 8 weeks. Your sales representative will provide an estimated timeline during the ordering process.

  • Our planters come with drainage holes to ensure proper water flow and prevent waterlogging. Additional irrigation systems can be incorporated upon request.

  • A planter is designed primarily for planting flowers, shrubs, or small trees, while a cistern is traditionally used for storing water. However, in garden ornamentation, cisterns can also serve decorative purposes and may be adapted as large planters or water features.
